Collaborative Project between the District Municipality of Ocaña and Internet para Todos

On May 27, 2022, in the city of Lima, the first collaborative agreement was signed within the framework of the “Juntos Conectamos” program. With this agreement, more than 1,000 people of the district of Ocaña distributed in 5 towns (San Pedro de Soncoche, San Juan de Luren, Santa Cruz de Habaspata, Saulama Bajo and San Juan de Dios de Saulama) ranging from 2700 to 3,300 meters above sea level, whose main economic activity is agriculture, will benefit from 4G connectivity.

This agreement represents what can be achieved when public and private efforts come together, thanks to the vision of the Mayor of the District Municipality of Ocaña, Alexander Zea Lara, who has been executing a project for the construction of two towers and the laying of fiber optics and on the other hand INTERNET PARA TODOS. Under its OIMR condition, it will install the equipment, technologies and facilities necessary to provide the 4G mobile coverage service.

We connect Masisea – Thanks to the Alliance between Cedro and IPT we transform lives in a disruptive way

We are happy to bring connectivity to the town of Masisea in Ucayali after a 3-hour boat ride. We are proud to see the smiles of 2,700 residents who can now enjoy 4G mobile internet.

This was possible thanks to the “Juntos Conectamos” program, whose objective is to generate an ecosystem of digital inclusion by bringing the Internet to the most remote locations in rural areas, thus facilitating development, reducing inequalities and transforming people’s lives, among other benefits. Within this framework, we signed an agreement with CEDRO, which will allow us to bring mobile internet to 3 towns in the departments of Huánuco, San Martín and Ucayali through Open Ran technology.

Technological innovation and disruption are part of our DNA in order to reach more rural locations in a sustainable way.
